Ferzan Ahmed

Ferzan M. Ahmed, P.E., has served as the Executive Director of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission since Feb. 25, 2019. Ferzan is a native of Pakistan and came to the United States in 1985 to attend Kansas State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Ferzan began his career in transportation in 1992 at the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). In previous leadership roles, he has served as a Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation and as the Administrator of Delaware County, Ohio. Ferzan has also served in the private sector as the head of AECOM’s Ohio Transportation practice.
Ferzan is a registered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and served as a member and Chair of the Ohio Board of Registration for Engineers and Surveyors. He is a former elected official, having served as a City Councilman of Powell, Ohio. He is the 2027 incoming President of the International Bridge Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA). Ferzan and his wife have 3 adult children and two grandchildren. He loves to travel and meet new people.
