Mark Shafer is a Senior Pursuits & Preconstruction Manager with Ames Construction in Burnsville, Minnesota. He specializes in alternative delivery transportation projects, including Design-Build and CM/GC procurements, and has led pursuit and preconstruction efforts for major bridge, highway, and corridor improvements throughout the Midwest. Mark works closely with transportation agencies, design partners, and construction teams to develop innovative delivery strategies, manage risk, and improve project outcomes. At the 2026 MAASTO Conference, he will present lessons learned and deliver insights from the US 69 Express Project.
